Student Project Exhibition 2023
Student Project Exhibition was held on June 23th at the Department of Pharmacology Arunai Medical College and Hospital. The students were given ten different topics of drugs acting on various systems. Students participated in the project actively with enthusiasm.
Model crafting:
Drug action based crafting of models by the students was one of the best way to understand the cellular and molecular aspects of action of various drugs commonly used in clinical practice.
Group of 15 students were assigned various topics related to mechanism of action of drugs for different conditions.
The blueprints of respective models were approved by the assigned faculty members.
Students were allowed to work on their models during their free time in the department practical lab.
Finally, the crafted models were evaluated by their respective mentors.
Impact of Practice - Students could remember and reproduce various difficult mechanism of drug actions and related drug information.
Topics assigned- Diuretics, Anti-parkinsonism, Digoxin, Insulin, Anti-retroviral, G-protein coupled receptor, Drugs used in Glaucoma, Organophosphorus poisoning, Cell wall synthesis inhibitors, Immunosuppressant’s.
We thank The Dean, The Medical Superintendent and other esteemed faculties of our Institution for lending support and for evaluation of projects done by the students.
